As it started to get dark in Dallas, I found myself standing in front of one of Dallas’s most iconic historic buildings, waiting to start a ghost tour with US Ghost Tour Adventures. I wasn’t sure what to expect, creepy ghost stories, history, or a little bit of both. As it turns out, it was the perfect blend.

What is the Dallas GHOST TOUR BY US GHOST TOUR ADVENTURES?
The Dallas ghost tour by US Ghost Adventures is a guided walking tour that takes you through some of the most “haunted” locations in Dallas, all while learning about the city’s past. Led by a knowledgeable guide, the tour focuses mainly on true historical events, making it educational as it is spooky.
Our guide led us through dark streets and historic buildings with fascinating and slightly eerie pasts, including the Old Red Courthouse, Dealey Plaza, and the “X” marking where JFK was shot, among others, keeping us all gasping in surprise.
Although no ghosts appeared during the tour, I found myself glancing at shadows a little differently throughout the night! Haha.
For an extra level of fun, you can even rent a paranormal detector, a device used to detect spirits. I didn’t try it myself, but I can imagine waving it around and trying to see if it picked up on anything!

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- This is a walking tour, so comfortable shoes are a must.
- The tour takes place mostly at night, starting at 7pm or 8pm.
- The standard tour lasts about 1 hour
- For an extra thrill, you can choose a 30 minute extended bonus tour, which includes more haunted stops for an additional fee.
- All stops are fairly close together, so the walking isn’t too intense.
- The stories focus more on history rather than jump-scare horror.
- Meeting point was in front of Union Station, 400 S. Houston St, Dallas, TX 75202
- Parking tip: Most downtown meters stop requiring payment around 6pm, so you can usually find free street parking across from the federal building or by the Holiday Inn Express, both near the meeting point at Union Station. Always check the signs to be safe.
